Journalist, podcast host and digital editor
I am a journalist and media educator based in Lahore, Pakistan, with experience across print, electronic and digital media. My work is communication: finding the story, shaping it with words, pictures, sound and video, and delivering it to the right audience.
I began as a sub-editor on the foreign pages of an English-language newspaper, moved into field reporting across multiple beats, then into television as a reporter. I went on to found Othernews.pk, a digital media platform, where I serve as Editor in Chief.
Expanding into YouTube, I produced an Urdu-language podcast that evolved into The ATM Podcast, an English-language geopolitical show that I host and produce.
Teaching is the other half of my work. I hold a Master’s degree and an MPhil (Professional) in Mass Communication, and I teach practical journalism as adjunct faculty at universities in Lahore, bringing what I have learned in newsrooms and studios into the classroom.
